Dr. C. Thomas Haytmanek will present on Revision Lateral Ankle Ligament Reconstruction during the upcoming AOSSM (American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine) specialty course, Reaching the Summit: Managing Sports Medicine Injuries of the Ankle & Foot. The highly anticipated event will take place this October and will gather top sports medicine specialists from around the country.
Dr. Haytmanek’s presentation will focus on advanced techniques and considerations in revision surgery for chronic lateral ankle instability—an increasingly complex issue among athletes and active individuals. His session will provide insight into surgical decision-making, graft selection, and strategies to improve patient outcomes when primary repairs fail.

Mastering Foot & Ankle Sports Injuries: Worldwide Techniques
An all-new surgical skills course focused on complex sports medicine pathology of the foot and ankle highlighting insights and techniques from around the world. Chaired by Eric Ferkel MD and Andrea Veljkovic MD, this two-day course will offer in-person didactic and cadaver lab focused on enhancing your surgical competency while expanding your indications for arthroscopic, endoscopic, and open management of ligamentous, tendon, chondral and bony injuries of the ankle and foot. The lab will be taking place in the state-of-the-art lab in Chicago, IL with master instructors guiding participants on the pearls and pitfalls of many of the procedures that will be demonstrated. Participants can then practice their skill set in the spacious state-of-the-art cadaveric lab at the Orthopaedic Learning Center.
Reaching the Summit: Managing Sports Medicine Injuries of the Ankle & Foot is designed to offer in-depth, case-based discussions, surgical pearls, and evidence-based updates on common and complex foot and ankle conditions. Attendees will benefit from a highly interactive format led by nationally recognized orthopedic experts.
