Dr. C. Thomas Haytmanek, Jr. completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Duke University followed by fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery at The Steadman Clinic under Thomas O. Clanton, MD. Following fellowship training, he practiced at The Coughlin Clinic at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho before returning to The Steadman Clinic in 2017.

Following Dr. Clanton’s retirement in 2021, Dr. Haytmanek assumed leadership of the Sports Foot and Ankle Clinic. He also serves as a physician for the U.S. Ski & Snowboard medical team and regularly treats athletes and active individuals with sports-related foot and ankle injuries.

Dr. Haytmanek has published and presented research focused on ankle instability, ligament reconstruction, cartilage restoration, osteochondral lesions of the talus, and sports medicine-related foot and ankle conditions.
