The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow selects Thomas Clanton, MD as an Honorary Fellow. Started over 400 years ago, the Royal College is an institute of physicians and surgeons in Glasgow, Scotland. This institution originally existed as a regulatory authority to ensure that physicians, surgeons and dentists were properly trained.

Thomas Clanton, MD is the Director of Foot and Ankle Sports Medicine at The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado. One of his specialties is the treatment of ankle arthritis and osteoarthritis. He is a pioneer in ankle replacement surgery with the development of the Scandinavian Total Ankle Replacement, known as STAR. Dr. Clanton is notably one of the most experienced surgeons in using ankle replacement as a treatment for severe arthritis.
