Necrosis of the skin and soft tissue typically affects obese, middle aged women on the third to fifth day of coumarin therapy, but in rare cases it can affect active men. This case report analyzes the affect of necrosis by measuring the pain, erythema, and ecchymoses of the skin to the formation of large hemorrhagic bullae with frank necrosis.

This study analyzes two cases of subtle injuries to the subtalar joint, specifically, osteochondral defects of the middle facet of the talus and conomitant involvement of the middle talocalcaneal articulation, both sustained while snowboarding. A variety of reconstructive procedures has been used to treat lateral ankle instability, but subtalar instability is not corrected equally in these procedures.
